Insights into the laboriously magical development processes of some of my current creations.Snapshots which could stand for themselves, but which must crease to exist in the pursuit of the original or imagined vision of their final selves.
What is the difference between herb and weed? Probably the supposed "unusability" for humans. In german this is reflected in the language, it is an Un-Kraut ; a non-herb.
Can they be eaten or cured with them - can they be used industrially in large quantities?
And if not, is there a market for your beauty or uniqueness?
Humans are like plants - even if they know how to survive and how to bloom - if they don't find a market in which they can sell themselves, they quickly appear to society as worthless - "unusable".
This is an ode to the "unusables" [1/3].
I am surrounded by an inhospitable plain that seems to extend into infinity. Heavily laden with clouds, the sky pushes itself down onto the expanse. Dead trees stick out of the ground like accusing fingers.
Shadows creep around but the clouds hang motionless - I look down but only see a shadow of myself.
The dream ends - the chirping of birds woke me up.
