maslow
the root cause
Elysia Maslow is an ony selectively known artist who seems quite unwilling to confine her artistic expression to any particular style. Convinced that while her works might differ in use of materials or choice of motive, they all represent facets of a singular human experience.
However, in 2006, Elysia decided to take a break from her artistic development to set out on a more hopeful path to gainful employment. During her travels, she gained a profound understanding of the basic mechanics as well as other fields of applied sciences. Drawing inspiration from the aftermath of the Bologna reform combined with Kafkaesque workings of higher education in Europe she delved deeper into something you can find under “trials & tribulations”.
When she finally entered the labour marked, Elysia quickly found her way into drawing-groups for nudes as well as an introductory course for oil paints in the Swiss Alps. She found that the experience of being confined in some sort of uniform cubicle opened her view for the both the vastness and endless details of nature.
Failing to develop any feasible marketing skills along the way she is still waiting to sell her art to people without having to leave either atelier or garden.
Today, Elysia Maslow is known more for her uncanny ability to sketch up mechanical solutions and less for her highly detailed oils. Hoping to change that, she is looking for opportunities to introduce her works to the wider public.
